I packed each envelope with love

Into each I put a scripture verse card, sharing a word of encouragement

It was a verse and a reminder of the word of the Lord

To that, I added a letter

To help understand the reason for the verse and how it became the verse of the month

Then I added the story verse card

It contained journaling prompts and reflections from the verse

Finally, I added a crossword

You see, I wanted that with each item, you were drawn closer to God

From reading the verse, the story behind it, and then taking time to find each word in the verse in a crossword puzzle

Without trying, the verse would become etched in your mind

That was the Maiden edition

And as I sealed each envelope, I looked forward to each lady receiving it the next day, and I hoped that the purpose would be fulfilled

Just like Nicodemus asked,

“Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!”

Today, many years ago, on a 26th evening, while sitting on the couch in our old house, my mum explained to me what it meant.

I remember asking questions, and that evening she patiently answered me.

And then I accepted Jesus into my heart as my mum led me to Christ.

I was young, but well aware enough

Many times, after I felt the need to give my life to Christ again

I had this notion that for every time I had sinned or something, and there was an altar call, I had to go out

Now, I look at it, and how far I’ve come

I’m grateful to God for me and for my family.

Yesterday, I was talking to God and ranting

You should hear our conversations sometimes, you’ll laugh

But it’s been years of growing and learning and unlearning

I’m still on that journey, and my prayer is that I may know Him.

Yesterday, I wrote down a question, about 4 questions, in my journal.

I hadn’t even finnished writing when a video notification for a message popped up and it had the answer in it

My word for 2025 was “Equipped”

Thus far Has the Lord equipped me and enlarged my coast

For 2026, it’s “Onbecoming.”

And I asked the Lord what it meant.

I’ll share to the extent of clarity I have received so far

So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.

John 21:15

That’s the first answer He gave me to my question.

Lovest me more than these.

Onbecoming is a journey of growth and transformation, a slow change, brought about by Abba as I become the woman He wants me to be.

It all started when I gave my life to Christ on December 26th in 200X, and it’s been a journey.

I invite you to trust God with your past, your present, and your future and invite Him into your heart. Accept Him as your Lord and personal saviour and surrender your life to Him.

Surrender means His way is the way, His word is the instruction, not your will or your way.

We’ll worship, we’ll pray, and we’ll journal.

You see, God has an interesting way of dealing with me.

When people ask me, How do I know it’s God? I just know.

It’s a honing that has happened over time and seasons with so many infallible proofs.

But let me tell you what happened this time.

I was told we’d be going for a prayer meeting Saturday, randomly, and boy was I upset.

I kept grumbling about how it had been a stressful week, I had a lot on my plate, I’d planned to rest, and they were disrupting my schedule

Busy Bee me, yea!

I just kept murmuring and complaining

I was upset

I was annoyed

And I knew I didn’t have options. I was home after all. IYKYK.

So I stayed up to 2/3 am trying to get work done. Work I’d have done within that day after sleeping to my heart’s content. Not like I even finished it.

I was just grumpy and all.

Fast forward to today, and I’m catching up on a book I was reading, and the Lord goes

Now this was 5:00 am-ish, and He was asking

And I was like girllll!!!

God is speaking.

But He didn’t stop there; it was like He needed to deal with everything that had risen up, and pass judgment.

He needed to cast down every high thing that had exalted itself above the name of the Lord.

He said, “Can He mess your plans without you becoming resentful?”

I was reading the book, but God was using it to address the issue and to correct me.

Boy, did I have to repent and rethink. My perspective changed, and there was a mind shift.

Then He landed.

He needed me to know and understand. My time wasn’t my time.

So when next you sing, I surrender all, or my life is not my own, or I lay my crown,

Remember He’s going to require it.

How does God speak to you? For me, this is just one way, but a lot of times it’s with words, written words, spoken words.

I'm going into a week of fasting for this brand. I perceive we are in a critical season, and I need to pray and fast.
